Jennifer studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City on a full tuition scholarship, and then continued her master’s studies at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She moved to the Dolomites in northern Italy eighteen years ago, and fell in love with the culture and the language, continuing her passion for art and art history in several guest study programs in Italian universities. She has recently returned to the western United States, and now splits her time between Italy and the United States. Her work as an Italian to English translator began after several years in Italy, working primarily in her chosen artistic fields. She then took on a position as an in-house translator for an important Italian automation and robotics company, learning every inch of this sector, and expanding her technical base to include more general industrial fields. Jennifer’s work includes technical specs and quality manuals for some of the most important industrial companies in Italy and abroad, EU grant proposals, university research projects and a vast array of works in literary and artistic fields. She also regularly translates all types of tourism and travel materials and marketing texts. Jennifer’s artistic background gives her an edge when translating any kind of artistic material, including museum guides, websites and art criticism. She has recently expanded her work to include freelance writing for linguist trade publications, and is an accomplished freelance editorial writer published in several US based publications. Jennifer collaborates with clients around the world, from Rome to Stockholm, New Zealand to Washington, and India to South Africa. She and her family share a common passion for travel, and she has journeyed throughout the continents of the world, always aspiring to expand her horizons. |
